The world's a storm, a raging sea
My little boat, tossed endlessly
No stars above, no guiding light
Just endless waves of endless night

But then I saw you, a beacon in the dark
A flickering flame, a burning spark
You shone so bright, I couldn't help but stare
A promise whispered on the chilled night air

I'd lost my way, forgotten what to feel
My heart was numb, my wounds wouldn't heal
The shadows danced, they whispered lies
Of empty hope and tear-filled eyes

But then I saw you, a beacon in the dark

Some may say you're just a tiny gleam
Against the vastness of a broken dream
But to a sailor lost at sea, you're land
A guiding hand, a helping hand
