My Fallen Friend

A cycle of poems «Your Wounds Are Deep»

In the twilight’s embrace, where shadows lie,
We marched as one beneath the blood-red sky.
With swords held high, our spirits soared,
Two hearts entwined, in battle adored.

Oh, my fallen friend, where have you gone?
The echoes of your laughter linger on.
In the silence of night, I hear your name,
A whisper of hope in this sea of pain.

Through fields of sorrow, we carved our fate,
Together we stood, defying the weight.
But fate is cruel, and the gods are blind,
In the chaos of war, you were left behind.

Oh, my fallen friend, where have you gone?
The echoes of your laughter linger on.
In the silence of night, I hear your name,
A whisper of hope in this sea of pain.

The banners now tattered, the fires grow cold,
Memories haunt me like stories untold.
I search for your spirit in the winds that sigh,
But all that remains is a tear in my eye.

I’ll carry your valor, your strength in my soul,
In every battle fought, you’ll make me whole.
Though the scars may linger and shadows descend,
I’ll honor your memory, my fallen friend.

Oh, my fallen friend, where have you gone?
The echoes of your laughter linger on.
In the silence of night, I hear your name,
A whisper of hope in this sea of pain.

So I raise my sword to the stars above,
In the name of our brotherhood, in the name of love.
Though you’ve crossed to the other side of the fray,
In my heart you’ll remain, forever and a day.
