My Eternal Youth

A cycle of poems «Your Wounds Are Deep»

In the twilight of my days, where shadows softly creep,
I wander through the echoes, where memories run deep.
A warrior once fearless, with fire in my soul,
Now I stand in silence, as the years take their toll.

Oh, my eternal youth, where have you gone?
Lost in the battles, in the dusk and the dawn.
With scars that tell stories of glory and strife,
I long for the days when I danced with life.

The clang of my sword still rings in my mind,
But the strength of my spirit is now hard to find.
I fought for my kingdom, I bled for my kin,
Yet the weight of the ages feels like a sin.

Oh, my eternal youth, where have you gone?
Lost in the battles, in the dusk and the dawn.
With scars that tell stories of glory and strife,
I long for the days when I danced with life.

The faces of comrades, now ghosts in the mist,
Their laughter still lingers, a bittersweet twist.
We dreamed of forever, of legends to weave,
But time is a thief that makes us believe.

As I gaze at the horizon, where the sun meets the sea,
I feel the weight of ages, and it burdens me.
Though my heart beats with passion, my body betrays,
In the twilight of battle, I’ve lost my way.

Oh, my eternal youth, where have you gone?
Lost in the battles, in the dusk and the dawn.
With scars that tell stories of glory and strife,
I long for the days when I danced with life.

So I raise up my sword to the heavens above,
A prayer for the youth that I once dreamed of.
In the silence of night, I’ll remember each fight,
For within every tear lies a flicker of light.

Oh, my eternal youth, though you fade from my sight,
In the heart of a warrior, you’ll burn ever bright.
