A World Without You

Imagine now, a world so vast and wide,
The fields spread out, the birds in graceful glide.
With flowers blooming, people walking free,
But stripped of love, what could this picture be?
Oceans rolling, clouds drift in the sky,
Great cities standing, where do dreams lie?
But no one whispers of love's sweet refrain,
A hollow echo, a persistent pain.

The stars still shimmer in the midnight blue,
The sun still rises, painting skies anew.
But what's the purpose, who to give it to?
A world where hearts have nothing left to do.
No hand extended, no shoulder near,
To wipe away a solitary tear.

As summer fades, and winter's chill descends,
The frozen earth for springtime gently bends.
But all the beauty, I can't embrace it,
A world without love, I can't find my place in it.

Imagine now, a world so vast and grand,
With love abounding in every grain of sand.
This is the world I need, this is where I'm free,
A world where love is what you and I can be.
And if any time your life is not so pleasant,
Think of a world in which love is not present.

But all the beauty, I can't embrace it,
A world without you, I can't find my place.
