Heavy Armor

A cycle of poems «I Trust Tempered Steel»

Steel and leather, cold to the touch
Every plate a promise, meaning so much
Weight on my shoulders, but burden I crave
For in this heavy armor, I know I can be brave

Heavy armor, shield against the fear
Heavy armor, keeps the demons clear
Forged in fire, tempered in the fight
Heavy armor, shining in the light

Hear the clang of metal, with every stride I take
A warning to my enemies, for goodness sake
Arrows glance harmless, blades slide and they fail
This ironclad protection, will weather every gale

Heavy armor, shield against the fear
Heavy armor, keeps the demons clear
Forged in fire, tempered in the fight
Heavy armor, shining in the light

Some may call it cumbersome, a cage of iron cold
But within this fortress, my story will unfold
It's not just metal, it's conviction and might
A symbol of resilience, a burning inner light

Heavy armor, shield against the fear
Heavy armor, keeps the demons clear
Forged in fire, tempered in the fight
Heavy armor, shining in the light

Yeah, shining in the light
My heavy armor, ready for the fight
Heavy armor, standing tall and true
Heavy armor, me and you.
