Ain t My Battle
Sunrise paints the sky in hues of gold and red
Another day begins, another thought I've shed
Of worries, doubts, and fears that try to take their hold
But this ain't my battle, stories left untold
I'm stepping back, letting go of the fight
This ain't my war, my struggle, or my plight
Someone else's burden, someone else's pain
I'll offer a hand, but I won't fight their rain
The world is full of shadows, darkness in the night
But every flickering candle brings a little light
I'll lend a match, a spark to help them find their way
But in this heavy darkness, I won't stay and sway
I'm stepping back, letting go of the fight
This ain't my war, my struggle, or my plight
Someone else's burden, someone else's pain
I'll offer a hand, but I won't fight their rain
It's hard to watch, to see the tears they cry
To hear the whispers of despair reach for the sky
But I can't carry their cross, their fears, their strife
I'll offer comfort, a reason to believe in life
I'm stepping back, letting go of the fight
This ain't my war, my struggle, or my plight
Someone else's burden, someone else's pain
I'll offer a hand, but I won't fight their rain
Ain't my battle, no, it's not my call
But I'll be here, standing tall
To help them find their strength, their own release
To weather any storm, find inner peace.
Ain't my battle, but I'll be here to stay
Until they find their own bright day.
