Oh, sweet marzipan, my luscious delight,
A confectioner’s dream, so charmingly bright!
With almonds and sugar all mixed in a swirl,
You dance on my tongue with a fluffy sweet twirl.
In shops, you sit proudly, in colors so bold,
And maybe you’re worth your weight in pure gold!
But one little issue, I must confess too,
You vanish so quickly — what is there to do?
But when I am sad, feeling down and withdrawn,
You’re there on my plate, like a warm summer dawn.
I’ll take you with coffee, with milk and with tea,
Oh, marzipan friend, you’re dearest to me!
So kudos to you, my dear sugary pal,
For every sweet bite makes me a happy gal.
May your sweetness forever in Universe stay,
Oh, marzipan friend, you brighten my day!
I love marzipan!
