Tyutchev F. As that an ocean wraps...
In dreams the earthly life’s wrapped around;
At night, with the waves’ low sound,
The element will hit its shore.
That is its voice, urging us and pleading…
A fairy bark at quay is set to leave;
A high tide comes, and we’re speeding
Through the immensity of heave.
The vault of heaven, agleam with starry grace,
Is looking enigmatic in the deep –
It’s in this blazing abyssal space
That we’re wafting off to sleep.
