Life is a wonder

Life is a wonder, a fleeting grace,
A moment in eternity’s vast embrace.
Yet this brief spark, so full, so bright,
Unfolds events that dazzle the night.
For some, it whispers, "Drift with the stream,"
For others, it opens the door to a dream.
Life, the trickster, with playful demand,
Throws you in dirt or offers a hand.

To each of us, Life grants
A world of impressions vast.
To some, it offers luck,
Or fortune that seems to last.
To some, it gives great love,
As boundless as the sky,
While others, time and again,
Are left with none—just to get by.

Now rain, now sun.
Now friend, now foe.
Life’s designed to ebb and flow,
Yes, it’s all designed so.

It gives us torment, it grants us rest,
Life’s trials test us, its peace is blessed.
Yesterday, triumph was yours to claim,
Tomorrow, fear may play its game.
You’ll seek a drop in a well run dry,
A thirst unanswered beneath the sky.
Yet still, the cycle will not betray,
As long as the Sun lights up the day.

Now rain, now sun.
Now friend, now foe.
Life’s designed to ebb and flow,
Yes, it’s all designed so.
