Give Me a Sign

A cycle of poems «I'll Be Waiting for You on the Shore»

I'm walking on this lonely road,
Lost in thoughts, a heavy load,
The stars above, they twinkle bright,
But I’m yearning for a guiding light.

The echoes of my heart they call,
In the silence, I feel so small,
Is there a message in the night?
I need a spark to reignite.

Give me a sign, I’m waiting here,
A whisper in the dark, to calm my fear,
A flicker of hope, a way to know,
I'm not alone on this winding road.
Give me a sign, just one small clue,
A flicker or a flame, something true,
In this crowd, I’m lost in time,
So restless, please give me a sign.

I watch the clouds drift in the sky,
Wondering if you’re passing by,
Are you the breeze that calls my name?
Or just a shadow in this game?

I’ve searched the heavens, the earth, the sea,
For something clear to set me free,
A glimmer in the dark so bold,
To break the silence, to break the mold.

Give me a sign, I’m waiting here,
A whisper in the dark, to calm my fear,
A flicker of hope, a way to know,
I'm not alone on this winding road.
Give me a sign, just one small clue,
A flicker or a flame, something true,
In this crowd, I’m lost in time,
So restless, please give me a sign.

And if the stars could talk tonight,
Would they share a tale, a guiding light?
I’ll keep my heart open wide,
In the shadows, I’ll confide.

Give me a sign, I’m waiting here,
A whisper in the dark, to calm my fear,
A flicker of hope, a way to know,
I'm not alone on this winding road.
Give me a sign, just one small clue,
A flicker or a flame, something true,
In this crowd, I’m lost in time,
So restless, please give me a sign.

So if you hear me, don’t stay blind,
I’m reaching out, I’m intertwined,
With every heartbeat, every rhyme,
I’m ready to see, so give me a sign.
