Life Without You

A cycle of poems «I'll Be Waiting for You on the Shore»

Woke up to a quiet room,
Sunlight spilling through the gloom,
I reach for you, but you’re not there,
Just memories float in the air.
Every corner of this place,
Echoes of your warm embrace,
I wear the silence like a shroud,
In this empty space, lost in the crowd.

Life without you feels like a dream,
Colors fade, or so it seems,
Laughter’s gone, the joy’s askew,
I’m just a ghost living without you.
Days stretch long, the nights are cold,
A heart that’s heavy, a tale untold,
In every heartbeat that rings true,
There’s a hollow sound — it’s life without you.

Footsteps linger on the floor,
But I can’t chase them anymore,
Your laughter used to fill the air,
Now it’s shadows everywhere.
I wander places we once knew,
Searching for a trace of you,
But time has turned the page so cruel,
And life feels like an endless duel.

Life without you feels like a dream,
Colors fade, or so it seems,
Laughter’s gone, the joy’s askew,
I’m just a ghost living without you.
Days stretch long, the nights are cold,
A heart that’s heavy, a tale untold,
In every heartbeat that rings true,
There’s a hollow sound — it’s life without you.

I’ll keep your love locked away,
In the corners of my heart, you'll stay,
But every dawn that breaks anew,
Reminds me how I’m lost without you.

Life without you feels like a dream,
Colors fade, or so it seems,
Laughter’s gone, the joy’s askew,
I’m just a ghost living without you.
Days stretch long, the nights are cold,
A heart that’s heavy, a tale untold,
In every heartbeat that rings true,
There’s a hollow sound — it’s life without you.

So I’ll carry on, though it’s hard to do,
Finding my way in a world so blue,
In every sunset, I’ll look for a clue,
But it just reminds me — it’s life without you.
Yeah, it’s just life without you.
Oh, love, it’s life without you.
