You spoke so sweetly, painted skies,
With every word, you wove your lies.
Promises of forever, a shimmering lace,
Now I stand here alone, lost in empty space.

False promises, whispers in the dark,
You lit a flame, then left a scar.
I chased the shadows, thought you were the light,
But all your dreams, they vanished from my sight.
False promises, like smoke in the air,
I reached for your heart, but you weren't really there.

Every dream you crafted turned to dust,
In the quiet moments, it crumbled to rust.
You danced in my hopes, wearing a charming disguise,
But the truth crept in, and I saw through your lies.
