Перевод стихотворения Софии Парнок В крови и в риф
We now lack rhymes and blood on faces:
No longer snorting, no more racing,
No longer neighing, not squint-eyed,
This world no longer shall we fight.
With age, we have become compliant.
We dream of warmth of barns, now quiet,
Away from crazy ways we stay,
Recalling only piles of hay.
So trudge, my gelding, calm, no haste!
Now heavy is your even pace.
Your fiery eyes, they had to fade.
Pegasus, you have gained weight.
