Heavy Strings

A cycle of poems «Burn My Poems!»

In the twilight glow of a faded dream,
Underneath the sky, where the stars never seem,
I feel the pull of the night, it’s dragging me in,
With heavy strings tied to the heart and the skin.

Every note echoes, a bittersweet sound,
Whispers of love that I once thought I found,
They linger like shadows, they pull me along,
In this symphony, I’m both the pain and the song.

Oh, heavy strings, they carry my soul,
Through the valleys of doubt, where the silence takes its toll.
With every strum, I’m lost and I'm found,
In the melody of the heartbeats that drown.
Heavy strings, won’t you set me free,
From the weight of the longing that’s binding me?

In the dance of the night, we were wild and untamed,
But the music is fading, and the fire's not the same.
I walk through the echoes, where the memories play,
With heavy strings wrapped around what we used to say.

Every chord strikes a nerve, like a ghost from the past,
A tapestry woven, but it won’t last.
As the silence grows louder, I’m lost in a dream,
Caught in the web of these heavy strings.

But in the darkness, I hear the light,
A song of redemption breaking the night.
With every unravel, with every release,
I’ll find my own rhythm, I’ll find my peace.

Oh, heavy strings, they carried me low,
But I’ll rise from the ashes, I’ll let the music flow.
With every beat, I’ll rewrite my song,
In the healing embrace, I’ll finally belong.
Heavy strings, now you’re just a part,
Of the symphony playing in the depths of my heart.

So here’s to the journey, the heavy and light,
With every note played, I’ll soar through the night.
No more heavy strings, just the sound of the free,
In a world full of music, I’ll finally be me.
