Autumn Sadness

A cycle of poems «Burn My Poems!»

Golden shadows falling down,
On the streets of this sleepy town,
Once sweet laughter fades away,
As the chill of autumn claims the day.
Memories dance in the crisping air,
Moments lost, too fragile to share,
Every breath a sigh, a bittersweet refrain,
In this season of colors, I feel the pain.

Oh, autumn sadness, wrapped in the breeze,
Each rustling leaf brings me to my knees.
Crimson and amber, they whisper your name,
In the twilight of daylight, nothing feels the same.
Shadows grow longer as daylight runs thin,
I search for a solace that I can't find within.

Pumpkin lanterns flicker bright,
Yet my heart yearns for the warmth of the light,
Beneath the harvest moon's tender glow,
Loneliness blossoms where wildflowers grow.
Windswept paths where we used to roam,
Now lead me back to the ache of home,
Every sunset's a reminder of what used to be,
As I gather these fallen leaves, to remember you and me.

Oh, autumn sadness, wrapped in the breeze,
Each rustling leaf brings me to my knees.
Crimson and amber, they whisper your name,
In the twilight of daylight, nothing feels the same.
Shadows grow longer as daylight runs thin,
I search for a solace that I can't find within.

Time moves on, but I stay still,
Caught in a moment, against my will.
The colors fade, but the memories remain,
A tapestry woven with joy and pain.
As twilight descends and stars start to rise,
I find you in whispers and soft lullabies.

Oh, autumn sadness, wrapped in the breeze,
Each rustling leaf brings me to my knees.
Crimson and amber, they whisper your name,
In the twilight of daylight, nothing feels the same.
Shadows grow longer as daylight runs thin,
I search for a solace that I can't find within.

So I’ll gather the leaves, in silence I’ll stand,
Embracing the sorrow, let it slip through my hands.
For though the autumn may carry its ache,
In the dance of the seasons, new memories will wake.
But until that day, I’ll linger here,
In the arms of autumn, where love turns to tear.
