Siege of the Fortress

A cycle of poems «Anamnesis morbi»

At the edge of the realm, a fortress strong
Guarded by knights, sworn to defend so long
A formidable bastion, tall and wide
With walls of stone, they steadfastly reside

The siege of the fortress, a battle of might
Where courage and valor ignite the fight
Under the banner, they bravely stand tall
Unwavering in their duty, they give their all

From distant lands, the enemy draws near
A horde of darkness, filling with fear
They gather their forces, ready to break
The walls that protect, their lives at stake

The siege of the fortress, a battle of might
Where courage and valor ignite the fight
Under the banner, they bravely stand tall
Unwavering in their duty, they give their all

As arrows rain down, and the ground trembles
The knights unwavering, their spirit resembles
With sword and shield, they charge fearless
Defending their home, their loved ones so dear

The siege rages on, through day and night
As hope flickers, they stand their ground and fight
One by one they fall, but their hearts remain
Unbreakable spirits, they refuse to wane

The siege of the fortress, a battle of might
Where courage and valor ignite the fight
Under the banner, they bravely stand tall
Unwavering in their duty, they give their all

Though the fortress falls, their legacy lives on
In tales of valor, where their names are drawn
A testament to the sacrifice they made
For the realm they loved, they will never fade
