Traumatic Asphyxia

A cycle of poems «Trauma Life Support»

The air grows tight, a crushing weight,
A pressure building, seals your fate.
A struggle starts, a desperate plea,
But breath escapes, you can't be free.

Traumatic asphyxia, a silent scream,
A body's fight, a fading dream.
The blood vessels burst, the organs strain,
A life extinguished, all in vain.

The chest compresses, a vise-like grip,
The heart's a drum, about to slip.
The face turns blue, a chilling sight,
As oxygen's lost, in endless night.

Traumatic asphyxia, a silent scream,
A body's fight, a fading dream.
The blood vessels burst, the organs strain,
A life extinguished, all in vain.

A sudden stop, a brutal end,
A life cut short, a broken mend.
The aftermath, a haunting scene,
A tragedy, a silent keen.

Traumatic asphyxia, a silent scream,
A body's fight, a fading dream.
The blood vessels burst, the organs strain,
A life extinguished, all in vain.

A heavy toll, a tragic cost,
The life that's lost, forever crossed.
Traumatic asphyxia's cruel embrace,
Leaves a void, an empty space.
