Tarsal Coalition
Born with bones a-fused, a hidden plight,
Tarsal coalition, steals away the light.
Of nimble feet, and dances free,
A subtle pain, a constant plea.
Oh, the tarsal bones, they're meant to sway,
But mine are joined, in a stubborn way.
The arch collapses, the ankle screams,
A hidden burden, it would seem.
Doctors puzzled, with X-rays bright,
Searching for answers, day and night.
Surgery whispers, a fearsome sound,
Will I ever walk on solid ground?
Oh, the tarsal bones, they're meant to sway,
But mine are joined, in a stubborn way.
The arch collapses, the ankle screams,
A hidden burden, it would seem.
But I will fight, with strength and grace,
To find a rhythm, find my own pace.
Physical therapy, a gentle art,
To mend the broken, and heal the heart.
Oh, the tarsal bones, they're meant to sway,
But mine are joined, in a stubborn way.
The arch collapses, the ankle screams,
A hidden burden, it would seem.
Though the journey's tough, the path unknown,
I'll find my footing, I'll stand my ground.
Tarsal coalition, you won't define,
This resilient spirit, this life of mine.
