Judicial Outrage

A cycle of poems «Is This Your American Dream?»

In hallowed halls, where justice reigns supreme,
A grotesque mockery, a sinister dream.
Judicial outrage, a blight on our land,
Where the blameless are wronged, the guilty set free to stand.

Oh, judicial outrage, a heinous crime,
Corrupting the system, eroding our time.
Innocence slandered, the truth obscured,
While the guilty roam free, their crimes endured.

Bias and corruption, a toxic blend,
Where verdicts are bought and justice transcends.
Defense attorneys, fueled by greed and fame,
Twisting the facts to shield the ones to blame.

Prosecutors with power, unchecked and abused,
Falsely accusing, the innocent accused.
Withheld evidence, manufactured lies,
Convictions built on a foundation of deceit and cries.

Oh, judicial outrage, a heinous crime,
Corrupting the system, eroding our time.
Innocence slandered, the truth obscured,
While the guilty roam free, their crimes endured.

The scales of justice tipped, heavy on one side,
Protecting the powerful, the weak cast aside.
Citizens outraged, their faith betrayed,
As the pillars of justice crumble and sway.

Lawyers and judges, sworn to uphold the law,
Yet they betray their oaths, a tragic flaw.
Justice manipulated, a twisted design,
Leaving victims shattered, their hearts entwined.

Oh, judicial outrage, a heinous crime,
Corrupting the system, eroding our time.
Innocence slandered, the truth obscured,
While the guilty roam free, their crimes endured.

Let us demand change, restore justice's might,
Uproot the corruption, bring justice to light.
Hold the guilty accountable, right every wrong,
And ensure the innocent are never proven wrong.
