Human Rights Abuses

A cycle of poems «Is This Your American Dream?»

In shadows cast, where rights are denied,
Humanity weeps, in anguish denied.
Chains of oppression, shackles the soul,
Freedom's yearning, silenced, made a toll.

Human rights abused, a shameful blight,
Dignity shattered, in the darkest of night.
Freedom trampled, justice denied,
Victims' cries, forever amplified.

Torture's grip, tearing flesh and mind,
Innocence shattered, leaving scars behind.
Prisons overcrowded, a cruel charade,
Where justice falters, leaving hope to fade.

Women's voices silenced, their spirits suppressed,
Denied the rights, in a world unblessed.
Children forced to toil, their laughter ceased,
Their futures stolen, their childhoods released.

We cannot turn a blind eye to this stain,
Human rights violations, a worldwide pain.
From Guantanamo to Xinjiang's plight,
Injustice lingers, in the darkest of nights.

Discrimination, a venomous disease,
Dividing humanity, stealing our peace.
Racism's poison, a bitter divide,
Sowing hatred, tearing societies wide.

Human rights abused, a shameful blight,
Dignity shattered, in the darkest of night.
Freedom trampled, justice denied,
Victims' cries, forever amplified.

Let us rise together, a chorus so strong,
Condemning abuses, righting every wrong.
For human rights, a beacon of hope,
A world where dignity forever elopes.
