The Newborn Day
Pink hues spread as the day’s begun.
With the dawn's long-awaited light,
The world awakens, shining bright.
Sunlight paints the sky and land,
As all of nature starts to stand.
Dew on the grass shines like beads so bright,
Leaves in the trees softly rustle with light.
The river lies wrapped in a misty, white veil,
Like a soft, fluffy blanket from night’s quiet tale.
Slowly, it flows, carrying the night’s scenes away,
As dawn brings light to the start of the day.
The silence of night comes to an end,
Birds sing joyfully as they descend.
They call me outside to see,
The birth of the day is so new to me.
I’ll brew a cup of coffee strong,
Step outside where I belong.
Sunrise will remove all worries away
Where I will greet the newborn day.
I meet the day with hope within my heart,
I wonder what gifts it may impart.
As darkness fades with the light of day,
The newborn sun leads the way.
May this day bring kindness and advance
Each sunrise gives us the new good chance
May the sun’s bright rays lead us on,
And fulfill the hopes of each new dawn.
For us, for all, God made this place,
A wondrous world, a boundless space.
He gave us love and the power to create,
There we can find our happy fate.
August 2024.
