Cancer Pain

A cycle of poems «Orthopedics»

In the depths of agony, a relentless pain,
Cancer's grip tightens, leaving trails of strain.
Sharp as knives, it pierces through my flesh,
A relentless torment, a symphony of distress.

Oh, cancer pain, a cruel and heartless foe,
Your agony consumes, brings me ever low.
Pulsating, throbbing, day and endless night,
A living nightmare, an unrelenting blight.

Medicines offer solace, a respite so brief,
Like drops of water in an all-consuming reef.
Their potency fades, the pain resurges,
A relentless wave that never seems to purge.

Oh, cancer pain, a cruel and heartless foe,
Your agony consumes, brings me ever low.
Pulsating, throbbing, day and endless night,
A living nightmare, an unrelenting blight.

Sleep eludes me, chased by pain's embrace,
A restless torment, a cruel and torturous chase.
Every movement brings a surge of agony,
A constant companion in my misery.

My spirit wilts, my body racked with pain,
Each breath a struggle, every moment a strain.
Hope flickers like a candle in the wind,
Threatening to be extinguished, leaving me unpinned.

Oh, cancer pain, a cruel and heartless foe,
Your agony consumes, brings me ever low.
Pulsating, throbbing, day and endless night,
A living nightmare, an unrelenting blight.

Through the darkness, I seek a glimmer of light,
A refuge from the pain, a sanctuary in the night.
But it's an elusive phantom, ever out of reach,
As cancer's grip tightens, its torment I beseech.

What can I say? Any words of comfort will sound blasphemous and meaningless.
I can tell you one thing : Don't give up! Human capabilities have not been fully explored.
