Exostosis

A cycle of poems «Orthopedics»

In the depths of bone, a growth untold,
Exostosis, a tale to be unrolled.
A bony protrusion, a silent foe,
A symphony of pain, a mournful woe.

Oh, exostosis, an unwelcome guest,
A constant reminder of pain at its best.
It whispers in my ear, a haunting plea,
To ease the agony, to set me free.

It gnaws at my flesh, a relentless ache,
Every step I take, a torment I make.
It swells and throbs, a symphony of pain,
A burden I bear, an endless refrain.

Oh, exostosis, an unwelcome guest,
A constant reminder of pain at its best.
It whispers in my ear, a haunting plea,
To ease the agony, to set me free.

I seek solace in sleep, but find no respite,
For the pain intensifies, a relentless fight.
It haunts my dreams, a nightmare's embrace,
Leaving me weary, lost in time and space.

The doctors try to mend, to ease my plight,
But their treatments fail, my pain takes flight.
Surgery's blade, a desperate plea,
But even then, the pain persists in me.

Oh, exostosis, an unwelcome guest,
A constant reminder of pain at its best.
It whispers in my ear, a haunting plea,
To ease the agony, to set me free.

I will not succumb, I will not despair,
Though exostosis lingers, I will not care.
I will find strength, in the face of my foe,
And rise above the pain, letting my spirit glow.
