Damage Control

A cycle of poems «Traumatology»

Amidst the wreckage, I stand alone
Damage control, a task I must own
Words shattered, trust betrayed
The pieces scattered, I survey

Damage control, the aftermath
Picking up the fragments, stitching them back
Navigating the wreckage with care
Repairing the cracks, beyond compare

Relationships broken, shattered dreams
The wounds run deep, it's hard to redeem
Communication lost, a void to fill
The weight of the damage, a heavy chill

Damage control, the aftermath
Picking up the fragments, stitching them back
Navigating the wreckage with care
Repairing the cracks, beyond compare

Apology and regret, they fall short
Actions speak louder, they must support
Amends to make, bridges to mend
A long and arduous road, I must expend

The echoes of the past haunt the present
But I refuse to let them grow resent
Forward I must move, lessons to heed
From the ruins of damage, I'll rise indeed

Damage control, the aftermath
Picking up the fragments, stitching them back
Navigating the wreckage with care
Repairing the cracks, beyond compare

Through the storm, I'll find my way
Damage control, my path each day
With resilience and grace, I'll overcome
The wreckage of the past, no longer numb
