The waves gently whisper, I'm holding your hand,
In this summer night, so close we stand.
The surf will whisper of love ever true,
Just the sea and the stars, just me and you.
Tonight I'll reveal the secret I hide,
I'll confess my love for you with pride.
You'll softly whisper "yes" in reply,
And the stars will gift us their light from the sky.
In the distance, a saxophone plays,
Singing to us of love's gentle ways.
That love must be cherished and guarded with care,
For not everyone finds a love so rare.
The sky and the stars, the sea and the shore,
All I need is to be with you more.
This night will fly by, we won't even see,
And at dawn, together, the sun we'll greet.
The night is short, especially in summer,
Morning will come with a beautiful slumber.
But don't be sad about what’s ahead,
We have a whole life waiting instead.
