Betrayal

A cycle of poems «Status praesens communis»

In the tapestry of trust, a thread so fine,
Betrayal's hand, a cruel, wicked design.
A loved one's embrace, a comforting sight,
Turns into a nightmare, a suffocating night.

Oh, the sting of betrayal, a wound so deep,
A treacherous act, a secret they keep.
Like a dagger in the heart, it pierces through,
Leaving scars that time can never undo.

Promises broken, like fragile glass,
Shattering dreams, leaving me in a mass.
The foundation of trust, now crumbled to dust,
As the one I held dear betrays my trust.

Oh, the sting of betrayal, a wound so deep,
A treacherous act, a secret they keep.
Like a dagger in the heart, it pierces through,
Leaving scars that time can never undo.

In the labyrinth of pain, I struggle to find,
A glimmer of hope, a reason to bind.
Anger and sorrow wage a relentless war,
Tearing at my soul, leaving me scarred and sore.

The weight of their betrayal, a heavy yoke,
Dragging me down, a burden I cannot revoke.
Sleep eludes me, a restless, haunted night,
As memories of their deceit fill my sight.

Oh, the sting of betrayal, a wound so deep,
A treacherous act, a secret they keep.
Like a dagger in the heart, it pierces through,
Leaving scars that time can never undo.

In the aftermath, I search for a way,
To mend my broken heart, find peace someday.
Though forgiveness may seem a distant dream,
I'll strive to heal, to rise above my pain.
