Summer walk

The poetess strolls with her friend by her side,
A bright, sunny day upon us does abide,
She shines with joy, so radiant and wide,
But the poet, suddenly, felt a saddened tide.

The poetess chirps, "Listen, my dear,
Along the road we leisurely steer,
Will stand wild, beautiful lindens near,
Gladly, just the two of us here.

Look now at the summer sun so grand,
Embrace its warmth while it freely stands,
A week of rain was what they planned,
But oh, the countless daisies in the lands.

See yonder, lovers in tranquil repose,
Basking and bathing, as summer shows,
Oh, the bliss in these hearts that glows,
Ah, the sun behind clouds now

The sky grows dark and seems to frown,
Perhaps it envies us below.
Shall we stroll through the old town,
Or maybe to the park we'll go?

Perhaps a caf; or pizzeria dine,
To make the day swiftly fly by?"
The poetess looked at her love so fine,
Smiling, beneath the lilac sky.

The poet just lightly smiled,
Quietly walking by her side.
Inspiration caught like a sudden wild,
In places you can't hide.

Inspiration, wisdom, will you bestow?
In the deafening hush of the night.
He said softly, "Where you go, I'll follow",
Pulling her closer, holding her tight.
