Larry David Calls Trump ‘The Greatest Conman We’ve Ever Produced’
Larry David blasted Donald Trump, saying the former president “has such a gift for lying.”

During Thursday’s edition of CNN’s The Source, host Kaitlan Collins teased David’s upcoming sit-down with Chris Wallace. The interview will air Friday on MAX, formerly HBO.

At one point, Wallace asked David about the prospect of another Trump presidency:

WALLACE: How do you wrap your head around the fact that he could very well be reelected president? I mean, right now, I’d say he’s the favorite.

DAVID: He’s just such an amazing conman. He has such a gift for lying and fooling people and convincing people of something that’s a complete lie.

WALLACE: But the point is, millions and millions and millions of Americans – more so than three years ago – they buy it.

DAVID: They buy it. It’s a testament to his cunning abilities. He’s the greatest conman we’ve ever produced. Yeah.

It was the second night in a row that CNN previewed the interview. On Wednesday, the network showed a clip of David raging against the former president.

“I mean, it’s so crazy,” he said of Trump’s lies about the 2020 election. “He’s such a sociopath. He’s so insane. He just couldn’t admit to losing, and we know he lost, he knows he lost, and look how he’s fooled everybody. He’s convinced all these people that he didn’t lose. He’s such a sick man! He’s so sick.”

David has also been known to mix it up with Trump defenders. In one infamous exchange, he accosted Trump impeachment lawyer Alana Dershowitz on Martha’s Vineyard.

“It’s disgusting,” David told him at a local store. “Your whole enclave – it’s disgusting. You’re disgusting!”
