Winter Town
Coppice gate, and midnight dates.
Dressed to the eighties, hometown's state,
and you lean to my scarlet heels.
You've missed all my best clues.
You look at me, I look at you.
I pray you'd love me, like they do,
and in my town boys disappear.
You were the rain - I was winter town.
You're crossing out your heart as I wanted to die.
You're king of the hill, I was keeping my light crown.
Chasing me down.
I stayed around.
You were the rain in my winter.
You flew over my nest.
Marrowbone, erratic rhythm.
Your density, transparent prism,
and your attendance will be marked.
So you broke all the church bells.
You're volunteering in the hell.
It's stupid story just to tell.
Your bayonets bloom in the dark.
You say, it's time to say it.
It's time to face it, it's time to end it,
and it looks like you don't care.
You took your turn to dare.
I say, it's time to say it.
It's time to face it, it's time to end it,
and it's not that I don't care.
I stopped the storms in your stare.
You changed like the tenet.
My August made you stumbling,
your favorite wood is crumbling.
The sky is slowly falling down.
So I left all the places.
Pulled your threads, gave you the chance,
you left June reminiscence,
where I still need you around.
I wake in the daylight.
Friends of you, your coded games.
Am I the one you're gonna date?
And we burned our a mystery.
You're left frustrated.
Your village and my nightly shifts.
My great passed exams and your gifts,
but I changed this history.
You were the rain in my winter town.
You're running to the porch, as I want to die.
You're king of the hill, I was keeping my light crown.
Chasing you down.
I stayed around.
You were the train in my winter.
