33. I ve walked this earth enough

I’ve walked this earth enough to learn one truth –
But one I’m doubtless of and living by.
What’s mourned in darkness by a gentle youth
Is nonetheless, through weeps, its sure ally.

For much like stars that melt away at dawn,
So will the one most dear take a bow.
Once praised in sonnets laying now forsworn
In deadly silence of eternal vow.

You must away, though always do return
In novel form, yet still familiar nature.
A changing tide’s your temporal sojourn,
A dance with time, your timeless, constant feature.

Thus greet the heartbreak as an old time friend.
One season’s start’s another season’s end.
