Inherently funny word
An inherently funny word is a word that is humorous without context, often more for its phonetic structure than for its meaning. According to vaudeville tradition, words with the /k/ sound are funny. Some words are considered inherently funny because they contain certain consonant plosives such as p, b, t, d, k, or g3. Examples of inherently funny words include duck, booger, and kidney.
