Once saved...

A Christian may often ask:
Once saved, then always is saved?
But when a sin again enslaved,
then faith in Christ becomes a mask.

Oh, yes, the power of sin
so many people have destroyed
and made faith in many void,
to unbelievers minds akin.

When a believer falls to sin,
through error making a wrong choice,
this causes demons to rejoice,
and they gleefully could grin.   

It happens - sorrows, turmoil...
Yet, Jesus Christ have warned about
the planted seeds that promptly sprout
but wither soon on rocky soil.

If one becomes of fears prey,
their hopes no longer cushion:
when troubles come and persecution,
who once believe may fall away.

Believers, who have started well
but chocked faith by daily care
that like a thorny ground ensnare,
may finish badly, - who could tell?

They were believers, after all,
who have received the message gladly,
but could shipwreck all faith badly,
abandoning their higher call.

The Lord is urging day by day:
stay strong, be faithful and firm
through all distraction, any storm
and, when in trouble, you must pray.

Don't be by any voice beguiled!
When suffering, in doubts groan,
hold on to Jesus Christ alone,-
He'll never leave you as his child.

The power of Christ within
in any darkness shedding light,
enables us all foes to fight,
overcoming any sin!
