AS VEGAS (AP) — Nikki Haley criticized Donald Trump on Saturday for praising foreign strongmen and warned that his style of “chaos, vendettas and drama” would be dangerous, making her sharpest critiques of the former president as the two GOP presidential candidates and their rivals addressed an influential group of Jewish Republicans.

Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley said that a victory by President Donald Trump in the 2024 election would result in "four years of chaos, vendettas and drama."

"We all know what Trump did in the past. The question is what will he do in the future?" said Haley at the Republican Jewish Coalition Conference in Las Vegas Saturday.

"Like the 1930s, the darkest forces on earth are aligned against freedom, and all too often they want to wipe out the Jewish people," said Haley, who gave Trump "credit" for strongly supporting Israel in the White House.

But given the high stakes in the world now, "we cannot have four years of chaos, vendettas and drama," she added, again referring to Trump.

"Eight years ago, it was good to have a leader who broke things, but right now we need a leader who also knows how to put things back together," said Haley.
Haley took aim at Trump for China's President Xi Xi Jinping and North Korea's dictator Kim Jong Un, and at others in the Republican Party and Democratic Party who don't recognize the importance of backing Ukraine and Israel in their present conflicts.

"This is profoundly about America's security," said Haley. "It's shocking and appalling that so many of our leaders and would-be leaders don't get this."

She noted "You've already heard from some of them today," Haley said in a thinly veiled reference to Vivek Ramaswamy, who also spoke at the conference and suggested that US aid to Israel had caused "intellectual inertia" that may have led Hamas attacking Israel.

"America needs a captain who will steady the ship, not capsize it," said Haley. "And Republicans need a candidate who can actually win."
