The Woman in Blue
I was walking along on this hot tropical sand,
feeling lost, in this Island land.
fighting the past,
wrestling tomorrow.
Feeling frustrated,
a heart of sorrow.
The hot Pacific sun beat down
from above,
suddenly, I heard a voice call me,
it resonated.. love.
I turned around what could I do,
there she sat, that woman in blue.
Her wild blond hair, hypnotising eyes so true,
mesmorised, I walked to the woman in blue.
She seemed to know me,
a cocktail in her hand,
I lost all thought, of this hot burning sand.
Tell me your secrets, she said,
let go of the pain,
share with me your thoughts,
what is your name?
I sat at the table and looked her in the eye. She knew my thoughts,
I could not lie.
We talked through the day,
so much she seemed to understand,
as she smiled at me and lovingly held my hand.
Tell me your secrets,
let go the pain,
share your inner thoughts,
what is your name?
We drank pina coldas till the sun went down ,
and no more secrets were to be found.
Her soothing voice, her loving hand,
this beauty in blue made me a man.
Tell me your secrets, let go the pain,
Share your inner thoughts,
what is your name?
I left her there sitting, she smiled and bid farewell,
but it was not goodbye forever,
this I could tell.
As I walked to my hotel,
her last words echoed through my mind.
Yesterday is the past, tomorrow
can wait, enjoy this moment
before it's too late.
Tell me your secrets, let go the pain,
share your inner thoughts,
what is your name.
