Sirius

The moment he’d died, he fell to the sky
and turned into glittering dust.
I’m wordless and blind; I cracked when I’d cried.
That moment has left me aghast.

Through shrieking and bawling, it’s slightly unknown
how life will proceed to the end.
I’d turned to the sky, completely crestfallen,
and peeped at the loss of a friend.

He’s pain-free and fearless; he’s willing to leave us
cause he knows he’s already passed
two stages of life: his future, his present,
and now he begins with the past.
