Turmoil and lost love

Then we had so much hope for us,
When we cried joyful tears for Rus, for us,
But this was only the start then.
When would we stop fearing?

No more peace and no release,
Imprisoned by these walls.

But we were younger then and so na;ve back then,
Believing what we were told and now we’re old,
We hear the words, but we’re not deceived at all.

Still isn’t right. It’s not a fight. It matters not, I know,
But in your eyes, I see just hate. Where did our love all go?

We felt such love, we had such hopes
But now they melt away.

For all your lies have been exposed.
You can’t mislead us any more. No!
You had your chance, like once before,
Now peace has turned into war.

The sadness in those ice blue eyes,
The madness of your lies.

It’s clear now, it’s clear now,
It’s really clear to me.

So - where are they now, my hopes?
How could you stoop so low?       
Yes. I really loved you, but you just let it go.

All that’s left, just memories of long ago.
