A marble wonder -
A statue so high and impressive
It strikes the imagination
With an ancient blessing.
A gilded masterpiece -
With emotions far from release
It shines like a wonder
Under the shield of thunder.
A rhythm set in stone -
And pulchritude alone
Can wave at us from afar
And shine like a falling star.
