Atlantis
Bringing diseases to the surface,
And those who were mourned recently
Will soon become sources of curses.
Underwater crops, and hunger
Rises to its full height, laughing
At the empty efforts of spring -
An elderly woman cries for her heart and broken back:
The little she did for her grandchildren
Is lost.
Precious carriages sank right in the middle of the road -
They stand with open doors,
Like palaces seized by darkness,
And not knowing what to do now.
Criminals laugh fiercely,
Standing knee-deep in water and not noticing
People sneaking up behind them,
Who just shouted "hoi-hoi!"
When the Lord, hearing prayers,
Takes away the neighbor's cow,
Don't forget that you'll lose two.
I see carriages carrying water and medicine for people,
I see new houses rising
And crops growing under Julius Caesar's hand:
On the other side, only dirty-yellow clay,
Faces raised to the blue, but soulless sky in silent screams,
In their anger, none will accept a hand stretched out in pity.
Romans! Go away!
Take us in, oh Poseidon!
Such was the end of Atlantis,
A great civilization of ancient times that went
Underwater...
A sad end.
