The Way I Am... The Way I Used to Be...
My life goes on, allowing no exceptions.
I pause my thoughts… and some I just erase,
Or let them go… then stop to ask more questions.
I trust my gut—but do I truly live?
Whom else to trust? What is my way of being?
Do I accept myself, or do I strive
To be someone I'm not? It’s just beginning…
I am like this, but am I my own queen?
Who wins the fight—truth or misconception?
There’s so much more in life I’ve yet to see…
