Sufi parable. Two Different Birds Flying Together
Two birds took flight, it was enough.
One bird was fast, with wings swift and strong,
The other bird, slow, with a melodic song.
The fast bird would soar and glide with ease,
Its beauty and grace, a wondrous sight to please.
The slow bird would flutter, and sometimes would fall,
But it sang with a voice, that would enthrall.
Together they flew, a pair so unique,
One fast, one slow, but both truly chic.
They traveled the skies, from dawn until dusk,
Their friendship so strong, it would never rust.
One day, the fast bird got tired and weak,
It could no longer soar, and could barely speak.
The slow bird stood by, and sang a soothing tune,
Its voice filled with love, and the fast bird was boon.
The fast bird recovered, and took to the air,
With its strength renewed, it was no longer rare.
Together they flew, a pair so divine,
Their friendship so strong, it would forever shine.
So, let this tale be a lesson to all,
That even the strong need someone to call.
For in friendship and love, we find our way,
And in moments of need, we are never astray.
