                Big Truckers

"Oh, where are you going to, all you Big Truckers,
 With British made cars, from foreign owned factories?"
"We are going to fetch you more cars and more car parts,
 More gadgets, your lamb, pork, fruit, veg, fish and cheese."

"And where will you fetch it from, all you Big Truckers,
 And where will I call you when you are away?”
"We fetch it from Germany, Holland and Denmark
 Containers from China and the US of A."
               
"But if anything happened to all you Big Truckers,
 And suppose all the borders were blocked overseas?"
"Then you'd have no coffee or bacon for breakfast,
 And you'd have no muffins or toast for your teas."

"Then I'll pray for smooth Brexit for all you Big Truckers,
 For little red tape to breeze your way through."
"Oh, customs and Covid don't bother Big Truckers,
 For we’re used to the queues and customs blocks too."

"Then I'll build a new car park for all you Big Truckers,
 With plenty wide spaces to sleep through the nights."
"Oh, you’ll relish the parking, the waiting at Dover,
 No toilets, just stewards much thicker, than lights."

"Then what can I do for you, all you Big Truckers,
 Oh, what can I do for your comfort and good?"
"Send dealmakers soon, make the Brexit deal better,
 That no one may stop us from bringing you food.

 For the bread that you eat and the biscuits you nibble,
 The sweets that you suck and the joints that you carve,
 They are brought to you daily by all us Big Truckers
 And if one hinders our coming you'll starve!"
