Parable. The Speck and The Log. Matthew 7. 1-5
Yet lessons for us all, big and tall,
For just as we judge with a critical eye,
We too, ourselves, must our faults pass by.
The speck in the eye of our brother we see,
But the log in our own we fail to be,
For our own flaws and imperfections are clear,
Yet we judge others with little to spare.
So let us remove the log from our own sight,
And extend grace to others, day and night,
For as we judge, we too shall be judged,
And mercy and love are the things we must.
So cast aside your critical gaze today,
And focus instead on the love that you may,
For in the end, it's love that will shine,
And the light of grace in our hearts
