Parable. The Lamp - Matthew 5. 14-16
Whose light is meant to shine for all to hold,
It's set upon a stand for all to see,
A symbol of the hope and truth to be.
In the same way, we're called to shine our light,
To be a beacon in the darkest night,
With deeds of love, with words that show the way,
Bringing hope and joy to all who see each day.
And just as lamps are not meant to be hid,
So too, our light should not be kept inside,
For we're called to share the grace we've found,
And be a shining example all around.
So let your light shine before all men,
Bringing glory to your Father again and again,
And in this world of darkness and despair,
You'll be a shining beacon everywhere!
