Psalm 4
In you I trust, do not disdain,
My voice when I cry out to you,
And deliver me from all my pain.
You are holy and righteous, Lord,
And good and faithful in your ways,
So answer me and show me grace,
And hear my prayer and sing my praise.
How long, O men, will you insult,
And turn your backs on truth and right,
And love deceit and hate the Lord,
And follow lies with all your might?
But know this, the Lord has set apart,
The godly for himself alone,
The Lord will hear when I call out,
And answer me when I cry and moan.
So in my heart, I trust in you,
And find my peace and joy and rest,
And I will sing a psalm of praise,
To you, O Lord, who blesses me the best.
