I outlived my desires, my passions fleet,
And thought my heart had lost the will to beat;
But then, my love, thou cam'st with gentle grace,
And filled my soul with hope, with light, with space.
With thee, the world is brighter, brighter still,
And every moment's joy, an endless thrill;
Thou art the moon that lights my darkened skies,
And thou alone, my love, my heart's true prize.
With thee, I find my peace, my calm, my rest,
And every kiss from thee, is worth the best;
Thou art the sunshine in my life, my love,
The only grace that comes from heavens above.
So here I stand, with heart overflowing,
In awe of thee, my love, my world, my being,
Forever yours, till time shall be no more,
I vow to love thee, ever more and more.
