The light of day went out

The light of day, went out so fast,
And in its place, the night has cast.
A veil of stars, across the sky,
A spark of hope, in our love's bright eye.

Your eyes do shine, like diamonds bright,
And your smile, a beacon in the night.
And in your arms, I find my rest,
And feel so blessed, to be so blessed.

The night may come, and with it, peace,
A time to dream, and let our hearts release.
And though the day, may bring its strife,
Our love remains, as the anchor of our life.

Oh, the light of day, may fade away,
But our love, it shines, night and day.
Like Byron's verse, so grand and bright,
Let us sing the song, of love and light.

For the beauty, grand and free,
That we feel, with each other's company.
The night may come, but our love remains,
A light that shines, in the heart's domains.
