Sylvan Deer

On a gray and rainy autumn day,
Once a sylvan deer made his way
Racing like an arrow through the streets
And into the auburn forest trees…

Refrain:

Come back, my Sylvan Deer,
I bid and pray you hear me! (I pray at last you hear me)
And take me quick, My Deer
Into your land so deery –
Where pines to comets whisper,
Where myth and truth are sisters,
Oh, take me there, my dear Sylvan Deer.

Raced the deer, antlers in the clouds,
Capered and the fog was all around,
But it seems that where the deer flew
Turned the sky so summery and blue

People say that miracles are lies,
That his tracks will fade with rainy skies,
But I know: he’ll come, he will arrive -
Just believe and magic comes alive

Refrain

You’re here, my Sylvan Dear!
I knew at last you’d hear me
My deer is taking me
Into his land so deery –
Where pines to comets whisper,
Where myth and truth are sisters,
He’s taking me away, my Sylvan Deer.
