In the depths of the soul,
A battle rages on,
Between the light and the dark,
The right and the wrong.
The ego fights for control,
While the spirit yearns to be free,
A constant struggle for balance,
In the journey to find the real me.
The world can be a cruel master,
Tempting us with its alluring lies,
But the true self is unshakable,
And in it, true happiness resides.
Though the path may be winding,
And the climb steep and rough,
The struggle is worth the reward,
For in the end, the self is enough.
So let the ego be tamed,
And the spirit be set free,
For in the balance of the two,
Is true harmony and inner peace.
