The life of serving

                "But he who is greatest among you
                shall be your servant."
                Matthew 23:11

The world is carrying on to live
in utter madness.
Oh, what a privilege to give
in joy and gladness!

To give your life to all those,
who don’t know
that Jesus Christ from death arose
in Heaven’s glow.

To imitate His life in each
thought, feeling, action,
and to be able thus to preach
without distraction.

And, with the love of Christ imbued,
all others stirring,
to have His gentle attitude
in our serving,

Oh, what a joy to be with Christ
in adoration!
To follow Him is very wise
to gain salvation!

When His example gives us love
and makes us gracious,
He give the courage from above
and softly shapes us.

He makes our character to be
Him ever pleasing
and makes us daily strong and free,
His Spirit breathing.

By leaving sinful life behind,
we Him professing,
God is transforming our mind,
and gives His blessing.

When we to sinful life die,
submitting egos,
renewed in strength, we then can fly
high like eagles.

When we apply with our hearts
what Jesus teaches,
God generously then imparts
spiritual riches.
