Где мы, когда человек одинок?

Где мы, когда он, уставясь во тьму,
Ищет совета?
Где мы, чтоб вовремя выйти к нему,
Ждущему где-то?
Сколько раз мы с тобою клялись
В чуткости к другу?
Что же ты далью счел эту близь,
Спрятал за спину руку?
Взял да забился в свой уголок,
Пишешь поэмы...
Где мы, когда человек одинок,
Где мы?..

Lost in the dark?

Them in time, as they await us?

So secretive?
You sit down in the corner
Writing poems while
We don't know where we are
When lonely people are around?
